First year cut flower grower

Hi, I'm Kristin. I'm a first year cut flower grower here in beautiful Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. My property was hit hard by Cyclone Gabrielle, with flooding leading to the full devastation of house, land and surrounds.

When the time came to move back, it was with new determination to do the things in life that I enjoy the most. As an avid gardener for years, the first step for me was to grow myself a beautiful cut flower garden. And here we are.

Can I buy bunches of cut flowers?

Yes, all flowers are $3/stem, excepting cosmos which is $2/stem and sunflowers which are $4/stem. You can either have all in one variety, or a selection of flowers, which will be supplied to you tied with basic floral tape, ready for you to create your own bouquets.
Do you make ready made bouquets?

No, here at Little Lifestyle Flower Farm, we are mainly cut flower growers. We supply you with the flowers that can create a stunning bouquet, but the flowers are given to you tied together in a basic bunch, or in a bucket of water. We have a good variety of cut flowers available for you to create your own beautiful bouquets, though!
Can I come pick my own flowers?

Yes! These are very limited booking-only events, as the plants need a break between heavy pickings so that the blooms can recover and regrow for the next event. So make sure you follow us on social media as that's where we will announce picking weekends, with limited spaces.
Can I hold a group event there?

We are able to hold some select group events here, with plenty of notice in advance, such as hen dos or birthday groups. This means we close off the farm so that only your group is here. These events are minimum 6 people required, and $80 per person, for 2 hours. You will be able to pick 12 stems per person, of any variety, 3 of which can be hydrangeas. We then head to some shaded tables where you can arrange your picked flowers into your own bouquets. Buckets of water are provided.
Do you supply to florists?

We welcome any florist who wishes to purchase flowers at a wholesale rate. Please contact us for a list of our 2025/2026 wholesale rates per variety.
